Have A Dream

Living With A Renewed Sense Of Purpose.

After you have lived for decades, it will take something very powerful to make you confront each day with energy and enthusiasm. I believe that powerful force, which keeps us moving forward each and every day, and gives our lives meaning is “purpose.”

Purpose is that activity
that you will overcome
all obstacles to do.

Without a sense of purpose, or a renewed sense of purpose, we are stuck in our past. Our future looks like more of the same. Imagine the almost sadness inside us then – living with a deep sense of regret, disappointment and probably retreat into self-absorption.

From hindsight, there are plenty of things you and me would do for free. But there aren’t many activities that get us charged with energy, that we will go on without sleep, working until the wee hours of the morning – and sometimes completely unaware of the passage of time.

Having a purpose is the difference between
making a living and making a life.

Firmness of purpose
is the best instrument
of success.

Efforts and courages are not enough
without purpose and direction.

The secret of success is
constancy to purpose.

Be not simply good; be good for something.

The tragedy of life is
what dies inside a man
while he lives.

If you are living with a purpose, that is, living with a direction in mind and not just existing, then, that is a healthy approach. As it is only when we are living with a purpose, even aches, pains and illness cannot seem to stop us.

Can you remember when was the last time you find yourself aware and performing at your best on little sleep, being awakened in the middle of the night by thoughts and ideas?

You see, deny your own sense of purpose and you guarantee decay of body, mind and spirit. Something else will certainly fill that space: rage, denial, or, maybe worst of all, the sad conviction that this is all there is – you have outlived your usefulness and the rest of your days are merely an exercise in not dying.

Purpose lends shape and color to our days and give a propulsive force to our lives.

I believe all of us have things we simply must accomplish on this earth. And we are not ready to give up until we have done our best to accomplish them. So instead of drifting, let us move confidently in a direction of our own choosing.

Purpose is what gives our lives meaning. A reason beyond just weathering the passage of time. You know very well there’s more you can be. More you can do and more you can have. And you simply cannot rest until you have tried with all you have got to accomplish that.

Happy Living. !!!

I have always loved that song; and … my purposeful life is to live with intention and integrity. And to always laugh at the silly things I do, because I do a lot of them.

    Great post!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. You must be an amazing person. You know why? The truth is, not many of us can laugh at the silly things we did. But, that certainly made you a happier person – because you have chosen to look at things differently. Have a great day. !!!

it’s a learned trait! In my 20’s I was too serious & always hard on myself. I started to relax in my 30’s. In my 40’s now I accept who I am and embrace all that I bring to the table. It takes practice but it’s doable 🙂 Cheers!
