Have you ever felt the exact opposite of empowered?
Know what it’s like to be completely disabled?
Experienced isolation from being ill-advised, naive and incompetent? And getting bullied, jeered, mocked, criticized when others see you as absolutely vulnerable? I know exactly what it is like. This happened when I was much younger. How can we live the life we want?
To a brave man, good and bad luck
are like his left and right hand.
He uses both.
Happiness depends more on
the inward disposition of mind
than on outward circumstances.
You’re happiest while you’re
making the greatest contribution.
Some would like to understand what they believe in.
Others would like to believe in what they understand.
The true test of character
is not how much we know
how to do. But, how we behave
when we don’t know what to do.
Action may not always bring happiness.
But there is no happiness without action.
While we’re postponing, life speeds by.
Champions are not made in gyms.
Champions are made from something
they have deep inside them. A desire.
A dream. A vision. They have to have
have the skill and the will. But the will
must be stronger than the skill.
Winning is a habit.
Unfortunately, so is losing.
It’s not the load that breaks you down.
It’s the way you carry it.
You’re never as good as everyone tells you
when you win and you are never as bad as
they say when you lose.
Coincidence is God’s way
of remaining anonymous.
An eye for an eye, and
the whole world would be blind.
If at first you don’t succeed; call it version 1.0
Tact is the art of
making a point without
making an enemy.
Time is nature’s way of keeping
everything from happening at once.
The difference between school and life?
In school, you’re taught a lesson and given a test.
In life, you are given a test that teaches you a lesson.
You see, you have to take ownership and responsibility of the life you have.
Many people end up going through life with low self-esteem. While there are always those who like to put off their happiness until some later date. Be mindful, our past does not define who we are. Our past need not be our future. As a matter of fact, we are more than our history.
You see, when we keep our focus on the negative, feeling inadequate, feeling inferior, always dwelling on reasons why we cannot be happy, that some day will never come. The good news is when we are determined to embrace and experience our struggle – instead of avoiding and denying; we slowly begin to rise and see ourselves in another perspective.
So are you willing to step out of your past and move forward to receive the abundance you see in today?
