Your Second Step Towards A Great Year.

Get out of your comfort zone.

When people remain in their comfort zone for too long, they often find themselves losing interest because they are never challenged. They always feel relaxed and get bored. Perhaps, the only good reason is, inside our comfort zone   we will not be making any any costly mistake.

As a matter of fact, it is amazing to see how people will hang on to what is comfortable or at least familiar rather than letting go and going after what really excites them. Indeed, there is no guarantee that you will achieve anything if you leave your comfort zone. But, if you never leave your comfort zone, you are guaranteed not to achieve it at all.

Following the herd mentality is a sure way to mediocrity. Just as ships were not built to stay in the harbor, we were not made to stay where it is safe. I believe our dreams lie beyond the horizon and we are both resilient and resourceful in pushing ourselves as far as we can go because you never know when life might give a little and open a new passage ……………………..

Have a great weekend.

A Brief Update: I have been involved in a new project since the start of 2012 and that explains why I have not been active of late. It will take another few weeks before I can free myself a little. Meanwhile, God Bless and Warmest Wishes to all of you.

Michael….You are so right. The comfort zone is like cement, the longer you stay still the harder it gets to move. You have got to keep flowing…..VK

Nice Michael! Nice! I soooo agree. I was so stuck for so long, so full of fear of leaving the comfort zone, but the funny thing was that I didn’t really like the comfort zone, and now that I’ve seen how if you look fear in the face, it really isn’t real, I’m going for it. Thanks for the reminder.

Comfort zones are safe. They are secure. Your surroundings are familiar and pose little or no threat. And in our comfort zones we become more and more insular and self centred.
We weren’t created to be comfortable. We were created to serve others. To serve others we need to get out of our own and into their comfort zones, and help them grow and encourage them to serve others also.
Seems to me that is precisely what you are doing Michael. Great work.
    Happy New Year.
