Have A Dream

A Moment With Og Mandino.

“Live this day as if it will be the last.

Remember that you will only find tomorrow on the calenders of fools.

Forget yesterday’s defeats and ignore the problems of tomorrow. This is it. Doomsday.

All you have. Make it the best day of your year. The saddest words you can ever utter are, If I have my life to live once again.

Take the baton, now. Run with it! This is your day!

Beginning today, treat everyone you meet, friend or foe, loved one or stranger, as if they were going dead at midnight. Extend to each person, no matter how trivial the contact, all the care and kindness and understanding and love that you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward.

Your life will never be the same again.”

~ Og Mandino.

    I’m just a guy with a limerick reply…

    Live each day as it may be your last,
    It may seem like a hard, daunting task;
    Love all those around,
    Like gold that you found,
    Your friendships will be something vast.

    So taking “your” advice I took my glass of wine, in my nightgown and went out on the backsteps barefoot in the dark and listened to the treefrogs sing. It was lovely and I go to bed laughing. Thanks.

    It was my resolution for this year! But so far I have failed at it. What happened? Blogging happened! 🙂 Now I am too upset with the time I have wasted in 2012 and am wasting more time while I am doing it. It is a vicious cycle, i can tell you that much.

    Dessert first Michael! And sailing away from safe harbor to embrace all that life has to give us if we will only reach out–and take it!!
