“Every day you make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to joy and glory to the climb.” ~ Winston Churchill.
Born in 1874, Sir Winston Churchill led Great Britain from the brink of defeat to victory as wartime prime minister. An intense patriot and a romantic believer in his country’s greatness, Sir Winston Churchill gave his people strong leadership and devotion that ultimately led to Britain’s millitary salvation. On politics, Sir Winston Churchill once said:
“Politics are almost as exciting as war,
and quite as dangerous.
In war you can only be killed once,
but in politics many times.”
Hi Michael!
Were you sitting in my 6th grade class for the past two days? Churchill was the topic of my lessons in literacy this week. We’re writing biographies. We’ve studied Martin Luther King, Gandhi, Anne Frank, Terry Fox, and Winston Churchill. Great specimens of humanity!!!
(LOL) Most probably …… Stay cheerful and happy weekend Heidi !!!
I loved the video. So much wisdom in those quotes.
Glad you liked it. Have a fun-filled weekend !!!
Love the second quote!!
A lot of truth in it.
Wise words.
Thanks Anthony. Happy weekend !!!
Same to u, enjoy.
Cheers ….
Not to be ugly on your post, Michael, but I can think of quite a few politicians that should be strung up for the ‘final’ time, and left to hang on the gallows as an example of what happens to traitors. The problems is that we kill them in the elections, only to let them continue to destory our Nation. I have to wonder, why?
Hi Orples, I can relate to your point of view. I reckon it’s much the same all over. Do not get too disturbed. Have a pleasant evening, sleep well and happy weekend !!!
Thank you, Michael. You do the same. I hope Sunday is a beautiful day in your neck of the woods. 🙂
It’s almost Sunday noon here, Orples. Happy weekend and God Bless.

My favorite Churchill quote is:
Winston Churchill to Lady Astor
“Sir, you’re drunk!” “Yes, Madam, I am. But in the morning, I will be sober and you will still be ugly.”
(LOL) Thanks.
Churchill was indeed an interesting man. He literally lived in a bunker during WWII. We went to his museum/bunker about a year ago in London. Amazing exhibit and worth every farthing (or rather pound….inflation).
