Be A Winner In Life.

Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off the goal.” ~ Hannah More.

Seriously, I do not mean to be negative today.

Have you ever get frustrated when things go wrong?

And have you ever let your frustration rule your life?

I reckon the truth is, many of us must have allowed a bump in the road to throw us off balance.

To move forward there are no shortcuts. At times, we may even have to first take a step back, to reflect, or re-strategise and wait for the opportune time to move forward again.

Edward Simmons once said; “The difference between failure and success is doing a thing nearly right and doing a thing exactly right.” Your will to succeed is important. But, don’t your think your will to prepare is equally vital?

Most of us have the potential to be successful and become winners in life. But only those with the burning determination to conquer themselves can make it. You see, champions display a fine mastery of the human mind and spirit over the human body. Every day they strive to go beyond their daily limits, consistently pushing themselves for that glorious moment and when it all finally comes together, the triumphant conquers the mind, body and spirit to deliver the great moment of victory.

Be a winner in life.

Have a dream !!!

Our key to happiness is having dreams.

Our success is making our dreams come true.

Till we relate again in my next post, stay optimistic and God Bless.

Absolutely true Michael! To become a winner or a looser is completely dependent on us and of course on the thought process we have for for situations around us!

I just read a book on talent and it believes talent is way over rated

The gist of the book was about a certain kind of practice that some creative skills or careers afford. Some of the old chess masters when analyzed with all the data entered into a computer found they made many more mistakes than players of today. Our minds have not changed in a couple of hundred years so why is this.

The best chess players of old lore would not make master and definitely would not make grand master.

It is how we practice and how much we practice in a certain way. Chess masters now pour over the great champions games and see what moves they made. They take specific parts of their chess skills and improve it.

There was a study on concert piano students at this prestigious school in Europe. They had a class for the performers, one for teacher and one other. The performers practiced more and practiced in specific ways. The teachers did not practice as much and did not practice with the intent of improving.

They summarized that practice and certain types of practice made the difference, not talent. it was dedicated effort over a long period with applied skills honed through use. the ones the performers had double the hours of practice in a four year college career. That showed in their ability and ease at which they perform.

We have unlimited ability to grow our minds, unlimited each one of us, so why let thought, worry or doubt deter your effort.
