    • Michael says:

Absolutely a very creative architecture, Nat. The project is not completed yet. You see, the colonial mansion blend very well with the modern designs. Regards πŸ˜ƒ

  2. Are you in Penang, Malaysia? Are these buildings there? I was in Penang many years ago and lived there for a time….there I was introduced to orchids in the yard, monkey’s in the trees, and chit chats in the house. It was mostly country then…please let me know, Michael. I loved the people in Malaysia! Have a blessed day.

I was in Penang in the last few days. The pictures are taken in Gurney Drive. This stretch has changed a lot. Regards.

Indeed your photos are so beautiful that they make me wordless. I wish I could be there, too.

    • Michael says:

This place was open for business a few months ago. Besides, I visited the place early in the morning – not many visitors around. So I am able to capture some very nice shots. You have a pleasant evening !!!

  11. willofheart says:

wow, I love the place, photo’s makes me speechless hahaha… I love it …

  12. Love the pictures of the temple, as well as the impressive hotel architecture,I lived at the Runnymede Hotel on the edge of the harbour for a year when I was a teenager in 1953. I thought the place was heaven on earth, and Penang itself so quiet and unspoiled I suppose it had changed greatly….

    • Michael says:

Firstly, thanks for visiting, Valerie. The modern architecture is not a hotel. The developer retained and refurbished the old mansion and it blends very well with the modern architecture. The Runnymede hotel is something new to me. Perhaps, it is no longer around. There is a bridge now linking the island and the mainland. Another is under construction. Penang has transformed into a lively and modern holiday destination. Regards πŸ˜ƒ
