First and foremost, I believe there is no simple answer to this tricky question …… So as to which side is right, that depends on what kind of love one is looking for. Say if you are looking for love from a soul mate, then it is highly unlikely that it can be bought with money.
On the other hand, money does increase one’s chance of love. Money can help generate love. I mean generating the circumstances that are favorable for love as well as inducing the loving feeling in us. Money can improve our bargaining position and our attraction factor – the pull factor.
While love decreases the need for money is especially true when one is so deeply in love initially. At that moment, money can be of less significance. However, one will get to realize with the lack of money for his or her basic needs, their love could also be at risk. Thus, a lot more have to be addressed, put in place and properly synchronized before love can be considered as meaningful.
I believe money can lead us to love because love is something that is hardly disconnected from reality. In this day and age, money can help us find love. But, be mindful what we can expect and cannot expect from it. More money can probably lead to more stress and is less effective in bringing us the kind of love we want.
Love without money is difficult – I dread to think about it. It could be equally stressful as well. Consider the following frequently expressed statements; “Oh, it’s so difficult to love you when you’re earning so much less than me.” Or, “So much less than my good friend’s husband” and so forth.
As I conclude this posting, I wish to quote “Money will buy you a fine dog, but only love can make it wag its tail.” – Richard Friedman. Can money buy love? At least not the kind of love I cherish …… That kind of love is priceless. I believe we should give from our heart and not our pocket. We should give love to the people around us as it is in giving we receive. Yes even in this day and age, where we can mail order a wife or a husband, pick up our phone and rent-a-date …… and so the list of options goes.
Happy loving and happy living …… Have a fabulous weekend everyone !!!
Money is beautiful if it is paid for certain work – physical or mental – because it means someone praise your work so much as he put his own money on it. I believe money you have told is of such kind.
Thanks Bibuji. Wishing you a great weekend and be blessed !!!
Good Afternoon Michael…I enjoyed your intake..Be Bless…Have a Wonderful Weekend too. Thanks.. 🙂
You have a wonderful weekend too. 😊
Good Beitrak in your Blog. Is good.
Thanks for the visit and comment Wolfgang. Have a happy weekend. 😊
Yeah, there are some good ideas to ponder here. Where I don’t think money can buy love, real love, it’s worth exploring where the lack of money creates conflict in an otherwise loving relationship. My husband and I have been together over 20 years, and are definitely ‘soul mate’ material. But I can tell you, the lack of money from time to time has threatened us with real challenging stuff – potentially losing our home (big investment) and heaping stress onto our plate with regards to monthly bills and keeping other aspect of our lives afloat. On the other hand, it has matured us in ways nothing else quite could, and we always come through these challenging times with a deeper love and respect for one another. I’d say the biggest reason is that it pares us down to what’s really important, which is respecting and valuing one another. That being said, I’d sure hate to be without the basics, which money certainly CAN buy. Too much stress is no good for anybody!
Thanks for sharing your personal thought with us. Very true and very real circumstances. Challenging and we have both reach a stage where we can say, “too much stress no.” I choose to be low-profile and simplicity. So have a loving weekend and God Bless.
I like your conclusion very well said.
Thanks binky. Enjoy the weekend !!!
Money can buy comfort, money can make You spoil Yourself and others, it can make things easier, but it can never buy love. If a person is attracted to another because of the balance in their bank account, then I have to question whether they are in love with the comforts that money offers, or the person. I met my boyfriend when he was more comfortable financially, and since then, he has lost everything, but I love him more. Would You really want someone in Your life because of what You can offer, or because of who You are as a person. Personally, I don’t think You should settle, I think You should just be You, and You will attract the person meant to be in Your life, not one who is only there for the comforts of life. You deserve to be loved for You 🙂 Thank You for the “food for thought”, I enjoyed this post and the questions it brings to mind.
Have a great weekend and being you, is enough. Regards !!!
Interesting post! I think about this often. I don’t believe that money can ever replace or buy the things that matter most in this life, such as health and love from and to others. I am reminded every day by the people I see or know with tons of money, but they are still trying to fill a void that just can’t be filled by material things.
Love your insight. Very true indeed, Jackie. Wishing you the very best in all that you are out to achieve. Happy living !!!
love is best when it is paid by giving love itself!… hey michael good day to you!
You have a great week and keep loving !!!

Still Apples and Nuts Michael. It is true that today people determine a value to the “having of money” and therefore “decide” that this can be of importance in securing a desirable partner, it could be any medium of exchange with the same results. Actually in history it was/is. Women in many era’s and countries were chattel purchased by so many sheep and so on. But Love, nope I’m firm on that one. I’ll go along with the song from the Beatles!
(LOL) Great wisdom Penny. See you in your next post. Regards.
