You may say talk is cheap. I agree. But seriously, don’t you think that is where most of our dreams begin to take shape? Inspiration often comes as we dream. Then, we give voice to our dreams. Our thoughts begin to crystallize into plans. And as we talk about our plans, fine tuning, tweaking and some adjustment become apparent.
On another note, it is easy to get discouraged and grow downhearted. Especially when nothing seems to go our way. It is easy to get discouraged especially when what we have is a troublesome day. You see, trouble is a challenge that could spur us on to achieve – if your faith is strong and your purpose is true, nothing is ever too hard to do.
Be mindful, who you share your dream with ……… You share it only with those who are supportive. The world is full of possibilities. Life is full of possibilities. What we need to remember is, people who succeed in life make things happen while others wait for things to happen.
Decide what is most important to you. Or find the things that make you feel good, that resonates in your heart and you will find strength to endure it. I believe life can be better. Some things are worth fighting for. Even when it is difficult and deeply complicated. Be sure you consider what you will lose in quitting versus what you will enjoy if you keep hanging in there until things change.
I don’t think we can accept being stuck. I mean, stuck in poverty or a dead-end job. Stuck in ill-health. Stuck in destructive behavior patterns. Stuck in a mental-illness, a dead relationship and so forth. Indeed, we may be living in a world filled with hard places but, change really is possible.
Breaking out of “stuck” places and experiencing change will requires some hard work and some tugging. I mean, mental tugging in particular. So once you decide never to give up, you lock yourself into the tug until you turn your struggle into success or an achievement.
“Twenty years from now
you will be more disappointed
by the things that you didn’t do
than by the ones you did do. So
throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.”
~ Mark Twain.
God did not promise us any easy life ……..
But, God did promise us that He would be with us every step of the way. There are many circumstances that try our patience and make us want to give up, quit and leave. Sometimes He allows tough and crummy things to happen to us so we can learn valuable lessons from there.
Never dread tomorrow or what the future brings. Just pray for strength and courage and trust God in all things. Life is short. Never grow discouraged. Be patient and wait, just wait. Be mindful, God never comes too early and He never comes to late either.
The best is yet to be !!!
“Blessed is the person who is too busy to worry
in the daytime and too sleepy to worry at night.“
If life is a race ……..
“It is impossible to win the race unless you venture to run, impossible to win the victory unless you dare to battle.” ~ Richard Devos.
Give up the joy rides that go nowhere ……..
“The reason why worry kills more people than work is that more people worry than work” ~ Robert Frost.
Life, too, will have its hard knocks and moments of failure. Sometimes even more painful ones. And, for some, life can be a harsh experience of one setback after another, so ……..
“Unless you are willing to have a go, fail miserably, and have another go, success won’t happen.” ~ Phillip Adams.
If life is a race, then there must be rules. Be mindful, to follow the rules.
Keep progressing. Keep advancing and keep excelling !!!
Our happiness derives mainly from our personal experience and attitude. It is not so much dependent on our external circumstances or factors.”
Do you normally accept things as they are, or would you ask “why” and “what if?”
Perhaps, for many people, trying out a new perspective coild be scary. But, if we were to stick to the known or familiar, we may never grow up and learn.
You see, the amazing thing is, when our thinking is healthy and positive, our emotions will follow. So why not, try a new way to do the same thing and see what happens? And be mindful, practice makes perfect.
If I may ask, will entertaining and acting on the negative emotion move us in the direction of our highest good? Will our negative emotions bless those closest to us? Will it help us reach our goals or accomplish our dreams?
As a matter of fact, it is certain that from time to time, we will have negative emotions triggering our lives. Consciously or unconsciously, we may do silly things that fuel our negative emotions. We may pick on the wrong things to dwell on and most likely ending up with more of what we do not want.
As I see it, our happiness derives from our own experience and attitude. It is not so much dependent on our external circumstances or factors ………. Just before I conclude my post for the day, here’s a food for thought – something we are so used to doing the opposite most of the time.
“Dwell on the things that are uplifting. Dwell on the things that are working. Dwell on the things that are worthy of praise.” ~ Philippians 4:8
Happy Sunday and Blessings !!!
“Never let your head hang down.
Never give up and sit down and grieve.
Find another way.”
~ Satchel Paige
………………. “In life, the first thing you must do is decide what you really want. Weigh the costs and the results. Are the results worthy of the costs? Then ……………….. make up your mind completely and go after your goal all your might.” ~ Alfred A. Montapert.
“How do you go from where you are to where you want to be?
I think you have to have an enthusiasm for life.
You have to have a dream, a goal and
you have to be willing to work for it.”
~ Jim Valvano.
The “structure” I am referring to, is the platform where all dreams are built upon. Like the chassis of a car, it is the foundation where the design, shape and form, will gradually take place.
Say, if your goal is to double your annual business turnover, your structure will most likely be to strengthening your present sales force, expanding the product range and last but not least, reworking a new incentive scheme.
But, if you are working for a Company and would like to double your monthly income, besides taking a part-time job, getting involved in some direct selling activities, you structure may possibly be to look within your Company and see if there are opportunities for you to shoulder more responsibilities or take over more functions.
After which, you will then have to work on the process. For instance, obtaining a meeting with your boss to discuss your proposal, business plan and so forth. As I conclude this post, I remember a quote from Jim Rohn. I quote; “You don’t get paid for the hour. You get paid for the value you bring to the hour.”
Warmest Wishes and God Bless.
“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off the goal.” ~ Hannah More.
Seriously, I do not mean to be negative today.
Have you ever get frustrated when things go wrong?
And have you ever let your frustration rule your life?
I reckon the truth is, many of us must have allowed a bump in the road to throw us off balance.
To move forward there are no shortcuts. At times, we may even have to first take a step back, to reflect, or re-strategise and wait for the opportune time to move forward again.
Edward Simmons once said; “The difference between failure and success is doing a thing nearly right and doing a thing exactly right.” Your will to succeed is important. But, don’t your think your will to prepare is equally vital?
Most of us have the potential to be successful and become winners in life. But only those with the burning determination to conquer themselves can make it. You see, champions display a fine mastery of the human mind and spirit over the human body. Every day they strive to go beyond their daily limits, consistently pushing themselves for that glorious moment and when it all finally comes together, the triumphant conquers the mind, body and spirit to deliver the great moment of victory.
Be a winner in life.
Have a dream !!!
Our key to happiness is having dreams.
Our success is making our dreams come true.
Till we relate again in my next post, stay optimistic and God Bless.
