Living Successfully ……

Anyone can be happy when circumstances are wonderful but joy is different. Joy is proactive happiness. It is not difficult to find successful and powerful people around us today……………… I believe there are potentially a lot more ordinary men and women who have yet to take on a big battle in their lives or deemed successful and powerful. 

When we think deeply about the person we intend to become, we sensitize ourselves to the change we must make to bring it about. It doesn’t matter what our role in life is or what we are doing as a living at this moment. So long as we are living and breathing, we too can be living successfully and powerfully – the outer image or picture the world sees in us ………..

Strive to excel in every task you are engaged in, every time. Give your best shot without any questioning or complaint. Just focus on delivering an excellent job.

Have a “Never Give Up” attitude. Don’t quit, no matter what the circumstances are. Remember, quitters never succeed and successful people never quit.

Be honest. Be open. Don’t be afraid to speak your mind. 

Be respectful in all situations. Honor respect. Be mindful of boundaries – those of yours and others. 

Be confident in standing and supporting your personal beliefs.

Inspire. The ability to inspire is within all of us. Develop it. And strive to make a difference it the lives of others. 

Be willing to share to your talents, skills and knowledge with others. In moving forward; Trust, Collaboration, Complement and Co-operation are the new buzz words.

Imagine, …………………… imagine yourself with these new habits. Visualize the new you – making better choices and enjoying the rewards of your new habits to living successfully and powerfully.

Something To Ponder ………. (3).

Do the right thing and let God do the rest.

Look around you today and appreciate the riches God has placed on your life ……………….. Even if your circumstances are troubling and your prospects slim, you can still revel in the vibrant colors of the morning sunrise.

Many people spend their lives searching for happiness. Towards the end, some are fortunate to realize that it is not about having more, doing more or being more. It is about how they view what is already theirs. You see, when we begin to see and appreciate the riches around us, we will almost certainly find that we have a great deal more to be happy about than we once imagined ………………………. Here’s something to ponder as we begin another week.

Be defined – accept no one’s definition about your life. Neither do you allow yourself to be bullied into silence. nor be made a victim by others. With that, may you live every day for the rest of your life and see you …………….

Some of us choose to let our dreams die and there are many who choose to protect their dreams and nourish them until they come true. What about you …………………

Do your dreams inspire you to work hard?

Do your dreams build you up?

Do your dreams motivate you to take some acceptable risk?

Be mindful, not to let what you can’t do interfere with what you can do. Get out of your comfort zone. Do not be afraid of the space between your dreams and reality. Learn to live creatively. All dreams can possibly come true, if only we have the courage to pursue it. Move one foot at a time …………… I believe if you can dream it, you can make it.

As I conclude, “Briefly ……….” Move one foot at a time. Stay positive. Think success. Not failure. Lastly, allow me to share a quote I have always loved with all of you lovely people out there ……

Alone I Am Limited.

A goal, a love and a dream will give you total control over your body and life ………….

Perhaps, like you, I too wish to please and say; “Yes” to everyone at work all the time. Unfortunately, this is not possible due to several constraints. Being hardworking and dedicated can be beneficial. But, in many situations, the quality of our work tends to go down as we try to increase the quantity.

One of my dreams is to have balance and happiness in my life. I believe what I offer is what creates the quality of relationship with me. If I give my best, then the best comes to me.

Life is a long journey. Giving of the best is often selfless and unconditional. Be mindful, people take ten years to be elegant at anything, let alone be masterful. Give time to our young ones to bloom. Mutual help will only make the journey easier, happier, worthwhile, meaningful and more pleasant.

Recently in one of Beeca’s posts – “Given Unaware”  I came across an image of hands from various communities coning together to form an universe. It reminded me that alone I am limited. But together, we have created the conditions that we are living in. True friendship is to strive to lift people up. Not cast them down. To encourage and not discourage.

Like a flower that blooms and withers, like the sunrise and sunset, reality too is constantly changing …………….. Reality is simple if your mind is clear. Living a simple life is learning to appreciate what is available now. Enjoying and appreciating  what is available before this is gone one day.

A branch that bends can withstand great force. While a branch that is rigid and inflexible often snaps, even in the slightest breeze. When we are flexible, we are in a better position to achieve our maximum potentials for abundance, joy, empowerment and so forth by seeking all sources of wisdom.

Your Second Step Towards A Great Year.

Get out of your comfort zone.

When people remain in their comfort zone for too long, they often find themselves losing interest because they are never challenged. They always feel relaxed and get bored. Perhaps, the only good reason is, inside our comfort zone   we will not be making any any costly mistake.

As a matter of fact, it is amazing to see how people will hang on to what is comfortable or at least familiar rather than letting go and going after what really excites them. Indeed, there is no guarantee that you will achieve anything if you leave your comfort zone. But, if you never leave your comfort zone, you are guaranteed not to achieve it at all.

Following the herd mentality is a sure way to mediocrity. Just as ships were not built to stay in the harbor, we were not made to stay where it is safe. I believe our dreams lie beyond the horizon and we are both resilient and resourceful in pushing ourselves as far as we can go because you never know when life might give a little and open a new passage ……………………..

A Brief Update: I have been involved in a new project since the start of 2012 and that explains why I have not been active of late. It will take another few weeks before I can free myself a little. Meanwhile, God Bless and Warmest Wishes to all of you.

Take Action.

How do successful people think?

They think beyond themselves and their world to see the big picture.

They remove distractions and mental clutter to remain focused.

They break outside of their box and explore options creatively.

They build a foundation on facts to see things realistically.

They find solutions in every situation by looking at them positively.

They consider the past and gain perspective by being reflective.

They reject the routine and don’t accept it just because it is popular.

They reach out to others to join them and think with them collaboratively.

They consider others and add value to them unselfishly .

They focus on results knowing that the return comes from the bottom line.

My Wishlist For 2012.

We are almost at the end of the current year. In hindsight, 2011 have been a reasonably remarkable year for yours truly. Though in between there were some challenging times which feels like speed bumps in life and at times feels like mountains. However, with the Grace of God, I am glad it passed. As for the coming New Year, what I wish to see happening are …………………

With the often predicted bleak global economic outlook in 2012, I wish there is no need for any unnecessary politicking. Instead, politicians at both sides of the divide should spend their time serving and working for the people. They should be seen implementing and monitoring sound, broad based policies that can benefit the people. And effectively paving a level playing field for all stakeholders  – regardless of his or her color and religious beliefs. This will empower the people to commit and work towards greater progress, solidarity, better quality of life and so forth.

I wish to see the global market moving forward and growing at a reasonably realistic pace rather than having to slow down or worst fall into a global recession. Perhaps, we should temporarily shelve some of our existing policies, initiatives and efforts that are causing the global economy to slide down further. And at the same time, stop draining our resources and energies unnecessarily. Instead, we should concentrate our efforts and initiatives or policies that are showing results and that works well under such prevailing global uncertainties.

I wish there can be a new paradigm shift emerging in 2012. Whereby each and every one of us are genuinely ready to move forward hand in hand, as the people of the world, without any hidden agenda, regardless of our faith and skin color. We have a duty to put our world right again for our younger generations to live. And not let them feel threatened or bullied in any way by some insensitive and arrogant people. Especially those who contribute by issuing threats and pouring cold water on the dreams of some genuine leaders in our time.

Realistically, I think if there is anything that we can truly look forward in 2012 is; new technologies will continue changing the way we live life. And most probably we will get to see Steve Job’s Apple TV in the coming months as well.

I’ll Follow The Sun.

I was on my way out of a shopping mall after buying some Christmas presents for my loved ones, when one of my old favorites; “I’ll Follow The Sun” by the Beatles was being aired at a cafe. That song very accurately, described the feeling I was in lately. I slowed down my pace and happily joined the Beatles singing the song in my heart ……………..

“One day, you’ll look
To see I’ve gone
But tomorrow may rain, so
I’ll follow the sun”

The Mayans think the world will come to an end in 2012. “That is still a year away,” some may say. “Let’s celebrate Christmas and a New Year first before we dwell on that thought.” While some will just dismiss the thought as another grand idea.

In hindsight, someone wrote a book, “88 Reasons Why The World Will Rapture In 1988?” That year came and gone. Then, another book was published the following year, explaining why the world would definitely end in 1998. Again, that year had passed uneventfully. Later, someone thought the world will end on May 21, 2011. That happened to be another failed prediction again. So are you thinking what I am thinking with regards to the Mayan theory?

For a moment, let’s recall the earthquake and tsunami that happened in Japan, on the 11th of March this year. Didn’t it happened so suddenly and without a warning? All of us were surprised, shocked and saddened when we learn more on the incident. It took thousands of lives, hundreds of millions in economic loss and sadly, we saw how this brought Japan to its knees, so to speak.

A little earlier, there was an earthquake at Christchurch in New Zealand. And more recently, the typhoon that almost crippled Philippine’s economy. Then, Thailand was struck with its worst flood. Millions of Thais were displaced and caused an untold amount of damage to the Country’s reputation as a manufacturing and industrial hub. In between, there were at least two deadly tornadoes and storms in the United States and floods in Australia as well. Perhaps, such is the power of nature.

We have been told years ago about global warming, the melting icebergs and last but by no means least, conserving energy and how recycling will ease the burden of Mother Nature. While many may simply dismiss the Mayan theory as a hoax, don’t you think we are witnessing to the wrath of an angry Mother Nature? 

The crux of the matter is, all of us are living in a connected world today. An earthquake or a major mishap or disaster happening at any part of the world will affect us just as much economically, directly or indirectly.
