A Moment With Earl Nightingale.
“We can let our circumstances rule us, or we can take charge and rule our lives from within.”
“The more intensely we feel about an idea or goal,
the more assuredly the idea,
buried deep in our subconscious,
will direct us along the path to its fulfillment.”
“The biggest mistake that you can make is
to believe you are working for somebody else.
Job security is gone. The driving force of a career
must come from the individual. Remember.
Jobs are owned by the company, you own your career.”
“A great attitude does much more
than turn on the lights in our worlds;
it seems to magically connect us to all sorts of serendipitous opportunities
that were somehow absent before the change.”
“Courage changes things for the better. With courage, you can stay with something long enough to succeed at it, realizing that it usually takes two, three or four times as long to succeed as you thought or hoped.”
“Everything in the world we want to do or get done,
we must do with and through people.”
So What Do You Value?
Honesty, Openness and Trustworthiness are building blocks that opens up a world of opportunities for us to grow our lives ……….
Being honest is the ability to tell the truth day after day. Not just when it is easy. But, when it is difficult as well. Honesty is also closely associated with character and integrity. It could be complex though. Imagine, living an honest life is the prospect of facing the consequences of our actions.
Openness breaks down barriers and builds trust at the same time. Openness is our attitude or opinion, as in receptivity to ideas, behaviors, cultures, people, environment and so forth. Ii is linked with our degree of acceptance, broad-mindedness, impartiality, responsiveness, tolerance and understanding.
Trust is the feel that a person is reliable, will not fabricate lies, cheat or steal from us. Someone we can count on to do something important, will not shirk from duties as he or she promised. Who takes a personal pride in whatever he or she does. In a nutshell, we are confident in our expectation that, the person will walk the talk and deliver what he or she has pledged to do. With the absence of trust present in all our daily engagement or business activities and so forth, consequently, this will lead us to live with doubt, suspicion and fear – the fear of something negative may happen. Don’t you think this is unhealthy living?
Being honest, open and having the ability to secure trust are important. Say, if we want to engage in a positive relationship – personal relationship or business dealing with others. Without these building blocks in place, relationships can tumble or become dysfunctional. Because these building blocks is the backbone of any effort we set out to do and achieve results.
I believe people will admire or appreciate and choose to associate with those who have qualities such as; Honesty, Openness and Trustworthiness. They earn a greater sense of respect from us. You see, you can change the image you have of yourself. If you quit making excuses. Put these building blocks in place and work on it ………. If you feel good, do more of it. Honesty, Openness and Trustworthiness transmits very strong positive vibrations that will strengthen or reinforced our connection with others. At the same time, empowering us being more ………
A Moment With Og Mandino.
“Live this day as if it will be the last.
Remember that you will only find tomorrow on the calenders of fools.
Forget yesterday’s defeats and ignore the problems of tomorrow. This is it. Doomsday.
All you have. Make it the best day of your year. The saddest words you can ever utter are, If I have my life to live once again.
Take the baton, now. Run with it! This is your day!
Beginning today, treat everyone you meet, friend or foe, loved one or stranger, as if they were going dead at midnight. Extend to each person, no matter how trivial the contact, all the care and kindness and understanding and love that you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward.
Your life will never be the same again.”
~ Og Mandino.
Briefly ……….
“Living and dreaming are two different things – but you can’t do one without another.” ~ Malcolm Forbes.
Some of us choose to let our dreams die and there are many who choose to protect their dreams and nourish them until they come true. What about you …………………
Do your dreams inspire you to work hard?
Do your dreams build you up?
Do your dreams motivate you to take some acceptable risk?
Be mindful, not to let what you can’t do interfere with what you can do. Get out of your comfort zone. Do not be afraid of the space between your dreams and reality. Learn to live creatively. All dreams can possibly come true, if only we have the courage to pursue it. Move one foot at a time …………… I believe if you can dream it, you can make it.
As I conclude, “Briefly ……….” Move one foot at a time. Stay positive. Think success. Not failure. Lastly, allow me to share a quote I have always loved with all of you lovely people out there ……
“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back. Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise would have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manners of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would come his way. Whatsoever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin now.” ~ Goethe.
Have a great, purposeful, productive, …………….. and meaningful week ahead !!!
Alone I Am Limited.
A goal, a love and a dream will give you total control over your body and life ………….
Perhaps, like you, I too wish to please and say; “Yes” to everyone at work all the time. Unfortunately, this is not possible due to several constraints. Being hardworking and dedicated can be beneficial. But, in many situations, the quality of our work tends to go down as we try to increase the quantity.
One of my dreams is to have balance and happiness in my life. I believe what I offer is what creates the quality of relationship with me. If I give my best, then the best comes to me.
Life is a long journey. Giving of the best is often selfless and unconditional. Be mindful, people take ten years to be elegant at anything, let alone be masterful. Give time to our young ones to bloom. Mutual help will only make the journey easier, happier, worthwhile, meaningful and more pleasant.
Recently in one of Beeca’s posts – “Given Unaware” I came across an image of hands from various communities coning together to form an universe. It reminded me that alone I am limited. But together, we have created the conditions that we are living in. True friendship is to strive to lift people up. Not cast them down. To encourage and not discourage.
Like a flower that blooms and withers, like the sunrise and sunset, reality too is constantly changing …………….. Reality is simple if your mind is clear. Living a simple life is learning to appreciate what is available now. Enjoying and appreciating what is available before this is gone one day.
A branch that bends can withstand great force. While a branch that is rigid and inflexible often snaps, even in the slightest breeze. When we are flexible, we are in a better position to achieve our maximum potentials for abundance, joy, empowerment and so forth by seeking all sources of wisdom.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day !!!
Progress Or Regress?
Many think it is easy to judge ourselves and others ………….. I reckon there is nothing like going into our “self-reflection” mode from time to time. Unfortunately, the sad truth is, sometimes people are too smart to start.
What is a fear that you have and how has that limited you?
How do you plan to letting that fear go or overcoming it in the coming weeks or months?
What type of action you think is optimal for you right now?
You see, in zen, being present in the moment is being mindful. Being mindful is being attentive and heedful – giving our full attention to what we are doing or achieving. Compassion increases our capacity to care. Thus, the more we care for the happiness of those around us, the greater our own sense of well-being becomes.
“We’re Willing To Feed Birds, Why Not People.” captured my attention recently. Got me stunned and instantly trigger the “self-reflection” button inside me. Suddenly, memories I thought completely forgotten, had not been properly erased or deleted in the past. My brain remembered the “pain” and it worked like a “hard disk” running non-stop scanning and searching those old folders for some time.
If the fear of failing is limiting you from moving forward or living a better quality of life, remember this; “If you don’t fail, you are not growing.” You will not be making progress like most people do. But, regressing ……….. So learning to letting go of your doubts and fears helps.
Meanwhile, have another productive week and keep excelling my friends. !!!

Your Second Step Towards A Great Year.
Get out of your comfort zone.
When people remain in their comfort zone for too long, they often find themselves losing interest because they are never challenged. They always feel relaxed and get bored. Perhaps, the only good reason is, inside our comfort zone we will not be making any any costly mistake.
As a matter of fact, it is amazing to see how people will hang on to what is comfortable or at least familiar rather than letting go and going after what really excites them. Indeed, there is no guarantee that you will achieve anything if you leave your comfort zone. But, if you never leave your comfort zone, you are guaranteed not to achieve it at all.
Following the herd mentality is a sure way to mediocrity. Just as ships were not built to stay in the harbor, we were not made to stay where it is safe. I believe our dreams lie beyond the horizon and we are both resilient and resourceful in pushing ourselves as far as we can go because you never know when life might give a little and open a new passage ……………………..
Have a great weekend.

A Brief Update: I have been involved in a new project since the start of 2012 and that explains why I have not been active of late. It will take another few weeks before I can free myself a little. Meanwhile, God Bless and Warmest Wishes to all of you.
