“There is no such thing as death.
In nature, nothing dies;
From each sad moment of decay,
some forms of life arise.”
~ Charles Mackay.
“Everything is contained sounds – the past, the present and the future.
The person who does not know how to listen will never hear the advice
that life offers us all the time. And only the person who listens
to the sounds of the moment is able to make the right decisions.”
~ Paulo Coelho.
“Don’t fight a fact, deal with it.
Don’t discard your self, be more of it.”
~ Hugh Prather.
“Everything in the universe has a purpose.
Indeed, the invisible intelligence that flows
through everything in a purposeful fashion
is also flowing through you.”
~ Dr. Wayne Dyer.
“We need to find God, and He cannot be found in noise and restlessness.
God is the friend of silence.
See how nature – trees, flowers, grass – grows in silence;
see the stars, the moon and the sun,
how they move in silence ……
We need silence to be able to touch souls.”
~ Mother Teresa.
“I come to meet You, God,
and as I linger here,
I seem to feel You very near.
A rustling leaf, a rolling slope
speak to my heart of endless hope.
The sun just rising in the sky.
The waking birdlings as they fly,
The grass all wet with morning dew
and telling me I just met You.”
“I am only one, but still, I am one.
I cannot do everything but I can do something.
And, because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do what I can.”
~ Edward Everett Hale.
“The present is what slip by us
while we’re pondering the past
and worrying about the future.”
Have a great week and a new month !!!
It’s easy to grow downhearted when nothing goes our way.
And it is easy to be discouraged when we have a troublesome day.
Why not look at trouble as a challenge that will spur us on to achieve?
When the darkness shuts out the light,
We must lean on faith to restore our sight.
For there is nothing we need know
If we have faith that wherever we go
God will be there with us to bear
Our disappointments, pain and care.
God’s love endures forever ……
When the tides of life runs against us and our spirit
is downcast and low ……
God’s kindness is ever around us,
always ready to freely impart
strength to our faltering spirits
and cheer to our lonely hearts.
At the “Kek Lok Si” Temple in Penang ……..
Are you searching for answers how to live a peaceful and rewarding life?
No man is an island. None of us are alone and isolated. Even the hermit in the cave is in relationship with the living creatures around him. For instance, the birds, trees, the earth, the mountain creatures and the sky. We are in touch with others, I mean, other people, other creatures, other things – and like it or otherwise, they will bring us pleasure and pain.
Due to the long weekend, this place was unusually crowded. There were visitors of different nationalities, cultures and religious backgrounds. As I descend from the “Kek Lok Si” Temple, on an extremely hot and dry afternoon, I have to admit this brief visit was worth every drop of sweat. Most of the visitors I came across were young and I am impressed with their openness, religious tolerance, acts of kindness and appreciation and their desire to understand more of the local culture and religious background ……… Lastly, part of the answer to the above question lies in understanding the nature of relationships and how to bring them into greater harmony.
